I suppose I shouldn’t get mad at other people for not posting when I myself have not posted in a while. To be fair, work has been super busy so, you know, I actually have to work and when at home, I have been either sapped of all creative energies from work, or dribbling out homework. Anyways, there are a couple of posts that should be coming (especially one about camping and my getting nearly eaten by a bear!).

While we were out camping, my Great Aunt Rosemary (maternal side) passed away. She was very nice and sweet though she suffered from Alzheimer’s. The funeral is August 5th (I’m not sure why they are waiting so long) in Dallas and we would have come out to see it and visit you all; but, we will be in Alaska at that time. =( Anyways, she was very sweet and sent me a number of letters over the years which I always appreciated receiving (especially when they were making jokes about my grandma). =)

It is a sad thing and my heart breaks for my great uncle Jim and my grandma; but, she and the rest of her loved ones can be at peace now.

On a lighter note, my friend from elementary (well, from church back then, not school) got to lead the songs “Heal the World” and “We are the World” at Michael Jackson’s memorial service. It was kinda cool to be watching the live stream (well, as much as I could stomach) and suddenly see her on stage getting the break of a lifetime. Kinda cool. Also, she is a Biola alumna which is great for Biola. =)
